Chief Digital and Marketing Officer

Position purpose
Directs and leads strategy creation, adoption, and execution for Lifestyle Design (former Poltrona Frau Group) long-term digital marketing programs which support brands strategic marketing initiatives, enhance customer experience, and support meeting revenue targets. This includes digital marketing (i.e., website, marketing automation campaigns, and social media) and digital commerce (both Business to Business and Business to Customer); responsible for analytics and measurement reporting on those activities. Manages relationships with the Digital and the Marketing team, collaborating with key brands functional leaders and global stakeholders to support company’s overall digital priorities.

Responsibilities and results
• Directs development and execution of Digital Marketing Strategy Plan through comprehensive portfolio of marketing communication, branding, and demand generation tools that are differentiated and compelling to support, manage, and promote all digital channels for both business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-customer (B2C).
• Plans and executes all digital marketing strategies, including Search Engine Marketing (SEM) for paid media and organic search (i.e., Search Engine Optimization [SEO], Pay-Per-Click [PPC], Cost-Per-Click [CPC], and Cost-Per-Impression [CPM]), marketing contact database, electronic mail (email), social media, and display advertising campaigns to increase marketing digital presence, increase awareness, and effectiveness for all customer touch points.
• Works with social media lead to create strategy to design, build, and maintain social media presence to expand Lifestyle Design’s brands reach while increasing brand loyalty and awareness.
• Leads strategy/direction, optimizing Return On Investment (ROI) of digital marketing spend, with particular focus on digital channels and content marketing/optimization to maximize spend and performance.
• Manages creation of goals and benchmarks for website traffic plan and definitive key metrics measuring effectiveness of website traffic and digital campaigns, adjusting plans as needed, to maximize performance and effectiveness of plan.
• Defines and shares metrics of traffic, customer engagement, and conversions, using best practice reporting methodologies (i.e., Key Performance Indicators [KPIs] and digital marketing scorecard) to make informed decisions, based on analytics and past experiences.
• Leads and sets strategy for lifestyledesign.com and all the brands.com to best portray Lifestyle Design to influencers and customers, resulting in more leads and effective communications.
• Works collaboratively with Information Technology Dept. to identify, develop, and implement technology strategies and systems for Lifestyle Design’s Brands benefit.
• Actively monitors new technologies emerging in digital marketing communication and work with Marketing and Sales technology team to ensure optimization of websites and other digital media channels are available for SEO, lead generation, usability, and customer experience.
• Works collaboratively with Marketing managers/technical experts to reach agreed-upon and unified decisions on digital marketing goals, priorities, roles, and direction to collaboratively execute agreed-upon project development and implementation.
• Partners with all relevant internal, teams to ensure organization delivers desired or intended CX through new digital capabilities, solutions, and communications.
• Executes digital marketing strategy by overseeing inbound traffic, including email, SEO, Google AdWords, paid media, social media, and digital content marketing to ensure content is current, accurate, and aligned with Brands Marketing strategy.
• Collaborates with internal teams to create campaigns or property conducive for right digital experience for displaying content to ensure consistency with brand standard and requirements.
• Supports and leads knowledge sharing of digital marketing efforts and goals throughout Lifestyle Design to ensure understanding of purpose and direction of function.
• Evaluates end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points to ensure delivery of seamless message across all touchpoints to maximize customer experience.
• Creates and maintains “best practices” for all digital communication channels to continue promotion of user engagement and capture search engine optimization.
• Manages and develops Digital Marketing team to increase their digital marketing knowledge and team effectiveness.

• Must be able to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously with focus on details, completing assigned tasks accurately and in timely basis.

Education & work experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business
• Master’s degree in Marketing or related field preferred.
• 10+ years related experience, including experience in B2B digital marketing.
• Experience in marketing automation and analytics/Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) “plus.”
• Experience strategizing, implementing, and managing cross-platforms, content-driven Marketing campaigns.
• Experience developing and testing lead generation, nurturing and scoring campaigns with aim to increase engagement/potential for sales hand-off.

Work location: Milan. The position may requires 30% travelling for business reasons within Europe and internationally to perform the role.
